Screen time,
without the fight.

Set the hours for school, homework and bedtime. Your child's iPhone follows them — through reboots, force-quits and days with no signal. The rest of the time, their phone is just their phone.

iPhone and iPad · Built on Apple's Screen Time technology · No tracking, ever

Most parental control apps are surveillance with a dashboard. Kontrl is different on purpose: no location tracking, no message reading, no activity feed. Your child can ask, you decide, and the phone looks normal to everyone else.

Set up in minutes

Two phones, three steps, no jargon.

1

Set the hours on your phone

School, Homework and Bedtime come ready-made. Change the times, or add places like school so the rules apply whenever they're there.

2

Pair your child's iPhone

A six-character code links their phone to yours. Choose which apps pause during restricted hours — everything else keeps working, always.

3

That's it. It just keeps working.

Restrictions run on their phone itself — not our servers. Reboots, airplane mode, no signal at school: the schedule holds.

Built for families, not surveillance

🔒

Works offline, survives everything

Enforcement lives on the phone, not in the cloud. Force-quit the app, restart the phone, lose signal all day — the hours you set still hold.

💬

Ask and approve

Blocked from an app they need? Your child taps once to ask, adds a reason like “15 minutes to finish homework research”, and you approve or decline in a tap.

📍

Place rules, zero tracking

School rules at school, automatically. Their location is checked on their own phone and never leaves it — there's no map, no history, and we couldn't show you where they are if we wanted to.

⏰

A fair warning

Ten minutes before apps pause, one quiet heads-up — so nothing dies mid-game. It's the only notification Kontrl ever sends your child.

👋

A phone that looks normal

Blocked apps show a calm, system-style message with when they'll be back. No lectures, no branding, no red badges of shame.

🛡

Honest about its own health

If your child's phone hasn't checked in, or protection stops working, your dashboard says so. No false green ticks.

One price. Everything included.

No feature-gated tiers, no per-child charges. Because “which protections don't I get?” is not a question we want to sell you an answer to.

Fair questions

Why not just use Apple's Screen Time?

Screen Time is good, and Kontrl is built on the same Apple technology underneath. Kontrl adds the things families actually fight about: remote lock and unlock from your phone, requests with reasons instead of a mystery “ask for more time” button, rules that follow places like school, a warning before apps pause, and a dashboard that tells you honestly whether protection is still running.

Can my child see where I am? Can I see where they are?

Neither. Kontrl has no location sharing in either direction. Place rules are checked on your child's own phone and their location never leaves it. This is a design decision, not a missing feature.

What can my child see?

Everything that affects them: what mode is on, when it changes, which places have rules, and what happened to their requests. Nothing is hidden from them, because rules people understand are rules they accept.

What happens if my subscription lapses?

The schedule already on your child's phone keeps running — a failed card never silently unmanages their phone. Your side becomes read-only until you resubscribe.

Can my child delete the app?

Not while it's managing their phone. Removing management is a deliberate parent action, and when you unenroll, everything is released cleanly.

What do you collect?

Almost nothing: your sign-in, your schedules, and the request history. No analytics, no crash reporting on your child's phone, no app usage data (Apple keeps that on-device), no locations. See our privacy policy — it's short because there's little to say.
